Rebecca brought vigor, creativity, energy and optimism to the conference stage! She emceed for the Washington State HR Conference and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the way she engaged the audience, kept things moving and adapted to the conference topic. Ron McHenry20 February 2024We engaged Showcase Your Shine with Rebecca P Murray for our recent all-staff training day at Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County. During the initial intake conversation we were asked thoughtful questions about the outcomes we were seeking from the session. In the leadup to the day, communication was excellent, and Rebecca took the time to understand our organization and needs beyond her already deep knowledge secured as one of our most active Club Mentor volunteers. I appreciated that she found ways to engage some of our staff as part of the preparation process and to integrate them into the presentation, but that she also provided several opportunities for attendees to engage during the session itself. The information itself wasn't overwhelming or full of buzz words that can be hard to clearly define at times. Instead, it was packaged in a way that challenged our more experienced staff but those newer to our field were also made to feel comfortable while in their growth zone. Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance our the Core Values of Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County. She captivates you with the first word she speaks, and she holds your attention until the very last word. Her audience participation helps reinforce the skills she is teaching while demonstrating with laughter and positive reinforcement, you'd never call her presentation a class, lesson, or anything that boring. It's an experience! I, like many others, truly look forward to the boost in ambition and confidence I get whenever Rebecca speaks. As a keynote speaker or, in my case, an Annual Awards gala host, Rebecca brings her special brand of entertainment. Most hosts show up and read a script. Rebecca can add singing, dancing, special guests, which she did at our Annual Awards Gala and it was the most amazing showcase of award winners I've ever seen! It was like watching the Oscar Awards on TV. It was THAT GOOD - with original songs and poems, dancing with guest stars, and the list goes on and on. I could keep writing about how amazing I think Rebecca P. The 2025 Toastmasters District 2 Conference at the Lynnwood Convention Center combined the themes of The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. Rebecca as emcee along with District Director June Lear crafted and delivered a parody duet on the song “Popular.” It’s a performance still being talked about today!
Prom Night was the 2024 theme for the Burlington Chamber Awards of Excellence. In preparing the emcee script Rebecca learned a striking percentage of the audience had never been to prom. She was able to add humor and wit to the idea of being a prom first-timer as a mature adult.
H2O for Christmas sung by Rebecca and PUD talent, Cort Wilson, to cap off an all staff year-end event. The song tells the story of a Skagit County water pipe replacement project finished in 2023. The performance added a sprinkle of schmaltz and humor to send the audience off on a high note.
Rebecca performed Club Rotary at the Rotary District 5050 Conference and Skagit Rotary 100th Anniversary Celebration. As the emcee, she brought the unexpected when she welcomed the audience as Josephine Ruggles, the wife of ‘The Fifth Rotarian,’ Harry Ruggles. Through the lyrics of Club Rotary, the audience learns the story of Harry Ruggles, who not only designed the Rotary logo, but also brought singing to Rotary as a tradition.
This Marilyn Monroe parody was performed for a Women in Manufacturing event as a theme highlight theme and to celebrate the sponsor’s birthday. Rebecca finished off an hour-long workshop with the parody Bragging is a Girl’s Best Friend and a happy birthday celebration for the session sponsor.
The Stowes Shoes Parody was crafted to honor local legend Dwayne Stowe at the Burlington Chamber Awards of Excellence event. Rebecca emceed the event and crafted the surprise after Dwayne received an award for outstanding community leadership. Local dancers performed on stage during the event. The performance was an event highlight.
